University of Texas Senior Year |
| Senior year of undergrad was
bitter sweet. It became another point in our lives where we are
grateful to have such wonderful friends, and at the same time bid farewell
to some of those same friends in the process. I had some great times
while in undergrad, most of which were shared with my best friends.
When it was over though, some of us continued with school, some of us went
into the professional world, some of us moved away, etc, etc, etc. I
really do wish I had more pictures from back then. I do have a lot
of great memories though. TX/OU weekend, Mardi Gras, and graduation
both come to mind. Of course there was also tragedy as the A&M
bonfire fell, killing 12 people, and bring others closer together in the
process. The biggest memory for me though had to be the millennium
new year. We sure as hell partied like it was 1999. Our road
trip to Vegas for New Year's Eve '99 was the shit. Some of the
highlights included: visiting Tombstone, AZ and eatin' buffalo burgers
while the locals looked at us like we were idiots from Texas; all the
fights that happened in the surburban, someone rippin' ass (they know who
they are!) in their sleep while on the road, Hunter, Gabe, and I freezing
our Texas asses off at the Grand Canyon because we didn't make the bus to
get back to the hotel, so we had to run (yes, run!) a mile and a half back
to the hotel in 0 degree weather and snow wearing only wind breakers
because we weren't prepared for the cold ass weather; gamblin' and gettin'
drunk in the casinos, Elvis sightings, children handing out porn on the
Las Vegas Strip, gettin' loaded at midnight on the strip and then trying
to be coherent at 8:00 AM on Jan. 1st to watch Texas fuckin' lose to
Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl, and of course ... last but not least ... the
shag carpet at The Hops!!!!! |

 At
5:30 AM, the New Mexico sky looked beautiful. |

It turned out to be a great day as we drove
into Arizona. It made driving a little easier to handle.
|

Hunter wanted to stop in Tombstone, AZ, so we did.
It was actually a really cool place, site of the famous.. |
..gunfight at the O.K. Corral. OG, Gabe, and Jenny are at the fight site hangin'
and checkin' it out. |
 Hunter's
trip wouldn't be complete unless he got felt up by Wyatt Earp, so he
obliged himself here. |

The Grand Canyon was SO cold when we drove
in... |

...The next mornin'. We literally
only had wind- breakers because we totally weren't prepared for the cold
weather. We didn't realize that the bus wasn't... |

...coming back to pick us up, so we had to
haul ass back to the hotel on foot. I'm not kidding, we were
freezing! We literally had to run 'cause it was so cold! |

In April we decided to spur-of-the-moment it to San An
to catch Destiny's Child and Christina Aguilera. |

It
looks like Beyoncé is popping out of her top here. It was actually
a decent concert. They sang well. |
|

This
was back when Christina wasn't the "dirrty" whore that she is
now. Say what you want about her music, but the girl flat out has
some pipes! I was... |

...also
surprised at how tiny she is (or was J
)! I don't think she is even close to 5ft. tall. Yet, she's
got a voice that will blast anyone else out of the building! |
Man, looking at these pictures, she looks so different
now. The newer black hair doesn't suit her well I think. |

right way honey!" -- Christina Aguilera |
