Baker Middle School Years |
| Baker was quite an
experience. It was fun growing up and going through the normal
middle school type of things. Robert Delany's super bowl parties and
sneaky night trips onto the golf course were always fun. So were
things like socials, field trips, middle school parties, going to the
Carroll football games and sneaking into the student section, and yes ...
the skating rink was a weekly thing for us back then. To be honest
though, at times there was a lot of tension between the athena and non-athena
students. It definitely felt like sometimes we weren't exactly
welcomed at their school. And since we did receive special treatment
most of the time, I guess some of their feelings were probably
warranted. It's funny though how when you grow up you gain so much
perspective. Looking back, I have since realized how significant
those years were in terms of shaping who we are today. It's too hard
to explain, but I am sure my fellow athenas probably know what I am
talking about. If anyone has any middle school pictures to
