The Year 2005 (Page 1) |
| The first day of 2005 was
absolutely awesome! Let's see, in one day, Texas wins the Rose Bowl,
Coach Mack Brown exercised his "big game" demons, Texas beats
Michigan in their first ever meeting, and QB Vince Young instantaneously
becomes a Heisman favorite for the upcoming football season. What a
way to start the year! Unfortunately, though, 2005 started to settle
in and rear its ugly head. 'Quick' seems to be the action, and
'Busy' seems to be the word. Having fun and spending time with
friends have grown scarce. As Amy so eloquently put it, "Time
flies when you aren't having fun!". I couldn't have said
it better myself. I guess it sometimes happens that way as life
moves forward. Nonetheless, though fewer and farther between, there
were some fun moments throughout the year. So here it is ... the
year 2005 ... so far! (Note: In addition to the four main pages of pictures
for 2005, there are also four subpages to click on as well. On Page
4, last row, click on the second picture and link to go to the Carroll
1995 Ten Year Reunion Page 1, Page 2,

On January 1st, 2005, Texas played Michigan in the... |

Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. It was the first ever
... |
... meeting between the two powerhouse schools.
|
The band shapes into Texas, while the flag is wavin'!
|
There is nothing better in college football than to see
a stadium filled with Burnt Orange and 'Horns up! |
A fan brought the Texas 'Cannon' flag from when Texas
was fighting for independence. I love it! |
QB Vince Young leads the offense starting at the Texas
20 Yd Ln. It was to Benson off Right Tackle. |
Here is a shot of the PK Dusty Mangum's winning FG.
He split the uprights as the last second ticked ... |
...off the clock. It's Good! Then all hell
broke loose! |
The JumboTron says it all ... Rose Bowl Champs! |
|

During the second week of January, the boys
got together for Gabe's engagement party. It was a great time,
though Big Jase couldn't make it in from 'Bama. |

We got together at the County Line on FM
2222, a staple in the Texas Hill Country. It was actually the first
time since undergrad graduation that OG, Gabe... |
... Hunter, and I, roommates in undergrad, were all
together again. When we realized that, it made it more
special. After dinner, we all ventured to ... |
... Speakeasy's. Of course we were all happy for
Gabe. It's times like this that I have begun to put a premium
on. It doesn't get any better. |
Down in The C.C., February began with a trip to see
the Islanders play. I think Larry is showin' his ring. |
I don't remember who they played, or who won ...
but I can tell you that the stadium is really nice. |
|

Here Jess and I grabbed a pic while hangin'
that night.
|

Ryan smilin' ... hey, that kinda
rhymed. I said kinda!
|
Towel on head ... bad. Wearin' a Texas shirt ...
good! |
It's a bird ... it's a plane ... it's ... TRENT!!! |
