I know, I haven't written anything in a while.
Like I said last week, the site has to take a back seat for a while.
I'm doing my best though. Thanks to those who continue to stay in
touch and write and stuff. I am planning on taking the rest of the
day to reply to the mounds of e-mails that reside in my Inbox. I'll
update the site this afternoon, but it will probably sit again for a few
days after. I don't know what else to say about that. Sorry
y'all, but there just isn't enough time right now. Hopefully I'll be
able to find more time for it in the next few weeks.
Everything else has been kinda past paced
recently. There has been nothing major to report. I'll try
later this week to actually sit down and write in depth. For right
now though, I am going to finish this, update the site, and then get back

What can I say ... things have been busy, I have been
tired, sleep has become a necessity, deadlines have loomed, and perhaps a
lull has set in. It pretty much all means that the site has taken a
major back seat recently, and will probably continue to do so in the next
few weeks. I'm backed up in the e-mails also, so don't take it
personally if I don't get back to you like instantaneously. And
quite frankly, nothing major has happened to merit writing about it

Hey Everyone. Sorry I haven't written in a
while. It's been one of those kinda months, well summers
really. Things have been busy, and I've also tried to get a little
more sleep. And since I don't usually get to updating the site until
late ... well, sleep has been winning out. I'll do my best, but
sometimes this thing can take entirely too much time. In the

Happy 5th Anniversary Stephen & Lydia (Settle) Laws!
Today brings very sad news. Carl Young, Calculus
and Pre-Cal teacher who taught most of us at Carroll High School over the
years, passed away late Tuesday evening. There will be a memorial
service for him to be held Sunday, July 10th, 2005 @ 2:00 PM at
Carroll High School in The C.C., I think in the cafeteria if not
somewhere else. He touched a lot of people and I hope everyone who
can, will drive into town and attend his service accordingly.
Mr. Young was an excellent teacher and a great
man. Most might know that I (and some from my group) stayed very
close with him over the years. Me personally, I talked with him
multiple times weekly and saw him very often. Some teachers have
that effect on students, and he was definitely one of the great
ones. He has recently been a great help with reunion stuff, and was
a reader of this website. He was always interested in seeing the new
names in the Classmates section and reading up on how his former students
were doing.
It really saddens me to have to write about his
passing. Though he retired a couple of years ago after teaching at
Carroll for 40+ years, he was still actively involved with the school and
very much cared about all his former students. If you didn't have
him for one of your math classes, he was also the voice at football games,
baseball games, pep rallies, and his pictures filled years worth of
Carroll "Anchor" yearbooks. In my opinion, he WAS Mary
Carroll High School.
I waited until now to write about his passing out of
respect for his family, and to make sure I posted accurate details about
his service (Sunday, July 10th, 2005 @ 2:00 PM at Carroll High School
in The C.C.). His family requested for me to post the news on
this website in hopes that it might reach his former students.
Whatever you beliefs or religion, please say a prayer for him. Mr.
Young will be deeply missed. --

So yea, I have been gone for a while, and the website
has taken a major back seat. I haven't had any time to devote to
this bitch recently, so it has been idle for a little while. I
probably won't be able to spend a lot of time on it this week
either. I just wanted to get on here and write something quick
