Happy 1st Anniversary Jay & Wife Kutnick!

The Levi Smith Band performs at The Fox & Hound in Dallas, TX @ 6:00 PM!

The Spurs game was awesome last night.  I have no idea how Robert Horry does it time and time again ... big shot after big shot!  He played huge and make some clutch plays.  Tim Duncan probably was the most happy with Big Shot Bob's performance considering it pretty much bailed out the Big Fundamental's shitty 4th quarter performance.  I mean seriously ... he couldn't buy a free throw.  That was embarrassing.  Robert's shots were great, but it shouldn't have had to come down to that.  Tim's gotta start makin' those throws!  I can't wait for Tuesday ... -- Michael

06/15/05 (02:30 AM) -- Deal with it  [Music: "Leave Me Alone" by Michael Jackson  I  Mood: Tired]

Gee, can I get any more e-mails about the Michael Jackson case?  To those who were cool, the sentiments are returned.  To the bastards who wrote in talkin' shit, a big 'fuck you bitches' goes out to y'all.  Deal with it.

So I feel I like I haven't written anything spectacular in a while.  Sorry, but sometimes there is either nothing to write about, or more often than not I just don't feel like doing so.  This thing takes time and can be a pain in the ass sometimes.  I do appreciate all the positive responses though.  As always, thanks for those.  It never ceases to surprise me how many people actually read this stuff.  Sorry if I haven't responded to e-mails or calls in a while.  Things have been busy and the Inbox in kinda full right now.  I'll get to all that soon though.

So yeah, I'm really tired right now.  I haven't got much sleep recently, the weekend totally sucked, and I have to get a few things finished.  It all equates to things not being very fun right now.  I need a break.  -- Michael

06/13/05 (03:30 PM) -- Verdict In  [Music: "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson  I  Mood: Confident]

The Levi Smith Band performs at Cool Bean Coffee Co. in Temple, TX @ 9:00 PM!

In a matter in minutes, the verdict in the Michael Jackson case will be read live via radio feed through virtually every media outlet in the world.  Go to any channel, go to any website, go to any radio station ... it is all over.  Right now Michael's motorcade is driving to the court house to hear the verdict.  Of course I am glued to the TV right now.  And yes, I personally think it has not been proven that Michael Jackson is guilty of any crime.  Let's keep our eye on the ball here, he has to be proven guilty, NOT proven innocent!  From all that I have seen, and I did follow the case, the prosecution has NOT proved Jackson guilty of any crime.

So there you go.  There are my thoughts.  If by some crazy chance he is found guilty, don't even think about writing me.  I will not respond.  If I care to share my thoughts, it will be on here, not through individual conversations.  Too many people write me about Michael Jackson stuff.  Now back to the TV ... -- Michael

06/10/05 (08:30 AM) -- Go Spurs Go!  [Music: "Incomplete" by Backstreet Boys  I  Mood: Hungry]

Happy 5th Anniversary Ryan & Carrie (Schroeder) Nelson!

Dude, Manu Ginobli is a total badass!  I mean I will go on record as saying his performance was the best individual performance in a Finals since MJ himself.  Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, Iverson, Sprewell, Iverson, Miller ... all those boys had good performances in the Finals since His Airness retired from the Bulls.  But what I saw last night was amazing.  During the 4th quarter when the game could go either way because it was so close, that dude just took the game over single handedly.  He felt it, and he just took over when the game was on the line.  It's one thing to put up big numbers and have a great stat line, but it's completely different to hit ALL your shots when it counts and the game is on the line on the biggest stage of the sport.  Don't get me wrong, Duncan is great, probably the best overall player in the league, and certainly the most under-appreciated.  But Ginobli showed the heart and will to win that I haven't seen since ... well, you know who!  No wonder Argentina won the gold in Athens this summer and the lazy, selfish Americans came in third!  Spurs in six.

People always ask about the musical choices in the posts.  No, contrary to popular belief, I don't put on the cd of whatever the choice is each day.  The songs can come from many different areas.  Sometimes it is what I am playing by choice, like on the iPod or CD or computer or something.  Sometimes the radio is on in the background and it's the song that is playing.  Sometimes it is what is on TV, like a performance or video or something.  For instance, right now the Today show is on the TV in the background, and I can hear the Backstreet Boys singing "Incomplete".  So that is the song for this post.  I'm not quite sure why I get so many questions about music, but that is the answer.

Anyway, I'm tired from last night, but I am about to head out.  I'll talk to y'all next week.  Bye!  -- Michael

06/09/05 (01:30 AM) -- Tomorrow ...  [Music: "Don't Phunk With My Heart" by Black Eyed Peas  I  Mood: Tired]

Happy Birthday Ricky Taboada!

Happy 4th Anniversary DeLana (Ethridge) & Tim Mullins!

Sorry y'all, but I've had like no time this week.  I've been trying to cram a lot of days worth of stuff into a few amount of days.  Today is a busy day, then the weekend will include travel (again).  So hopefully I'll be able to sit down and write sometime next week.  I'm way behind on the e-mails also.  That will probably have to wait 'til next week.  Anyway, just wanted to say a quick something.  I'll talk to y'all later.  -- Michael

06/08/05 (02:30 AM) -- Tomorrow ...  [Music: "The Dance" by Garth Brooks  I  Mood: Tired]

Happy Birthday Octavio Garcia!

Happy 3rd Anniversary Zada (Hamilton) & Husband Bates!

Sorry for the boring posts lately.  Things have been kinda hectic recently and I really just haven't had the time or desire to sit down and write much.  It will kinda be this way through next week, so y'all will have to have a little patience with me.  Today wasn't too bad, a little long though.  I talked to a few peeps and then watched Miami blow the game against Detroit.  That totally sucked.  I wanted Miami to get to the Finals.  Oh well, hopefully the Spurs will beat the crap out of the Pistons.  I've never liked the Pistons.  Anyway, I am tired and I want to get some rest, so I'll talk to y'all later.  Bye!  -- Michael

Happy Birthday Amy Johnston!

Happy 1st Anniversary Angel (Martinez) & Clark Mabry!

This weekend has been pretty long, with a lot of driving back and forth.  It was fun, though I am pretty tired now.  Consequently, I don't feel like writing much.  I'm hungry, Texas plays tonight, and I still need to finish a few things.  I'll write more tomorrow when I'll be refreshed and have a bit more time to so do.  I'll also work on the e-mails tomorrow, so y'all will here from me then.  Okay, bye y'all!  -- Michael

06/02/05 (11:00 AM) -- Be aggressive!  [Music: "Desperately" by George Strait  I  Mood: Hungry]

The Levi Smith Band performs at Youth Life Center in Midland, TX @ 9:00 PM!

So there is nothing special to write about today either.  Yesterday was normal.  Later in the evening I caught the Spurs game and was glad they won.  I was actually surprised at how they were able to put away the Suns rather easily.  I thought they would win in six.  It will be interesting to see how they do against either Detroit or Miami.  I don't think either will be a lock.  In fact, it will be a downright tough series no matter who they play.  They don't have great luck against Shaq (and Dwayne Wade is playin' awesome), and the Pistons are just a tough-ass team.  If there's one thing San An needs to do more ... is be more aggressive.  Punch someone in the mouth damnit!  I'm pullin' for Miami to win the East, just so Shaq can stick the finger to Kobe!  -- Michael

06/01/05 (01:30 AM) -- June Already?  [Music: "Me Too" by Toby Keith  I  Mood: Tired]

Happy Birthday Ryan Goodman!

Happy 3rd Anniversary Angela (Bates) & Rodel Villarreal!

Hi everyone.  It's been a little while since I have been able to sit down and write a bit on the site.  The weekend was pretty busy for me.  And the rest of the week doesn't ease up either.  Hopefully by next week things will be a little better.  In any event though, I just wanted to say "hey" to everyone and touch base again.  I haven't been in communication with a lot of people recently because time has been tight.  The e-mail is piled up again.  Hopefully by next week I will be caught up with all that again.  I'll do my best to kick some responses out this week though.  So hopefully y'all will be hearin' from me soon.  In the meantime though, thanks for all the write-ins.  It's always great to hear from people.

So the Spurs dropped Game 4.  That sucked, but I did pick them in six, even after they won two in Phoenix.  The Suns are just too good to be swept away so easily.  I knew they would get at least one in San An.  My pick still holds though, Spurs in six.  And I'm pullin' for Miami in the East.  These next few days of games should be good ones!  Hopefully I'll be able to watch them all.  Anyway, that's enough for now, so I'll talk to y'all tomorrow.  Hope everyone has a great day.  June already?  Bye!  -- Michael
