Jeanette Colleen Lewis  (1978 - 2003)

"Jeanette Colleen Lewis of Corpus Christi, age 24, passed away, February 4, 2003 in a local hospital.

Jeanette was born in Angleton, Texas on August 16, 1978, and graduated from Carroll High School in 1996. She was employed by the Omni Hotel as a chef. Jeanette will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking. Her most joyous times were those spent in the kitchen preparing fancy dishes to please those she loved. People who knew her saw a young woman full of spirit and vibrancy. The joy she brought to other with this spirit will be missed by all that knew her.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Thomas L. Lewis and Johnnie Wilson Sr.

Jeanette is survived by her father, Thomas L. Lewis and step-mother Peggie Lewis of Corpus Christi, Texas; her mother Janice and step-father, Keat Griggers of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sister, Tami and her husband Oscar Yanez of Grand Prairie, Texas; her brother, Troy Lewis of Corpus Christi, Texas; her special friend, Marco Provinciali of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandmothers, Melba Lewis of Danbury, Texas and Clara Newton of Angleton, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2003 at Seaside Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening at Seaside Chapel.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Andy, Cody, Brianna Lewis, Johnnie Wilson III, Bill Buck and Michael Greer.

Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Lewis."
